if there is anything i can count on it’s that the whole family will eat bread. i have a famous bread recipe that is often requested. it’s certainly not the healthiest thing i ever made. but it’s GOOD. i try new breads now and again. i find it relaxing to mix it and knead it. i own a bread maker but i’ve maybe used it twice. there’s something about making bread…
when i make bread, i try to sneak some whole wheat flour in. whole wheat flour is a tricky thing for my little ones. they will tolerate it to point, then it is no longer “the good bread”. i mixed in 1/2 cup whole wheat, which leaves a whole lot of white flour but i remind myself, baby steps. we tried this recipe a few days ago, which you will see was a hit. i definitely found them on the yeasty side, but for a 30 minute bread, i’d make them again.
